The Westin Sandy Andy Weedless 16g takes the proven Sandy Andy sandeel profile and gives it a weedless set-up, making it an excellent choice for fishing over rough, weedy and snaggy ground where bass and other predators often hunt.
Supplied fully rigged and ready to fish straight from the packet, the 16g version is a great weight for shore fishing when you want a natural sandeel presentation without using an overly heavy lure.
The slim Sandy Andy body produces a natural swimming action that imitates one of the most important food sources for bass around our coastline. The weedless rigging helps the lure work its way through weed, rocks and other structure while reducing the number of frustrating hook-ups on the bottom.
At 16g, it's particularly well suited to standard bass lure tackle and is a very useful option for fishing shallow rocky marks, weed beds, gullies and areas where you simply wouldn't want to throw a lure fitted with exposed trebles.

Mick's Tip
The weedless Sandy Andy is the version I'd reach for when the ground looks too rough or weedy for a conventional lure. Don't make the mistake of thinking weedless means completely snag-proof, but it certainly allows you to fish areas with much more confidence – and very often those difficult areas are exactly where the bass are feeding.
