The One Up Shad is the best paddle tail softie of its type available. It is super soft, which means even with the slowest retrieves the tail works.
This 10" version (actually 9" I just measured it) was originally designed for big pike fishing, but of course if you are looking for a huge saltwater softie rigged on a jig head then these are ideal for halibut, big cod, grouper etc. You will need a good 10/0 hook on the jig head, and if you want to go weedless I would suggest a wide gape Texas of 12/0.
This lure has its own scent, which is very similar to the aniseed scent of an Xlayer, which of course is the best fish attractant around.
