The QuickRig Bait Bridling Kit is a clever, purpose-built system for quickly attaching a hook to a live or dead bait while leaving the hook completely exposed and free to do its job.
Check out all the pictures I have attached. You can see different methods of mounting the clips. You can troll a dead bait with the clip in the head of the fish, or use a circle hook and place the clip behind the head or by the dorsal fin to mount the fish alive free-lined or under a float.
For serious live bait fishing, particularly when targeting bluefin tuna and other big-game species, good bait presentation is incredibly important. You want the bait securely rigged, swimming naturally and back in the water as quickly as possible. The QuickRig system makes the whole bridling process remarkably quick and straightforward.
Rather than tying a conventional bridle each time, the specially designed tool fits a QuickRig metal bridle clip through the bait, creating a secure attachment point for your hook. As you can see from our photos, once fitted the hook sits completely clear of the bait.
That has two major advantages: the bait isn't restricted by having a large hook buried in it, and the hook point and gape remain completely unobstructed when a fish takes the bait.

Bridling allows the fishing hook to sit independently from the bait rather than having the hook passed directly through it.
For tuna fishing in particular, I really like this style of presentation. A properly bridled bait can swim naturally while your circle hook or big-game hook remains completely exposed, with nothing interfering with the point or gape.
It also means you can concentrate on getting a healthy bait rigged and back over the side quickly rather than spending unnecessary time handling it.

This is one of those tools that makes much more sense once you've seen it being used. Take a look through our photos and you'll see how quickly the clip can be fitted to the bait and, more importantly, how cleanly the hook sits afterwards.
For me, that's the real attraction of the QuickRig system. When you've got a good live bait in your hands, you don't want to spend ages messing around with it. Rig it quickly, keep the hook completely clear and get the bait back in the water.
