Flashmer Heavy Duty Split Ring Pliers
The Flashmer Heavy Duty Split Ring Pliers are proper heavy-duty pliers designed for opening the large, strong split rings used on serious big-fish tackle.
These are perfect for the big split rings we use for tropical fishing, bluefin tuna and even catfish, where normal split ring pliers simply aren't big or strong enough. The heavy stainless-steel construction gives plenty of leverage, while the shaped nose gets into heavy-gauge split rings and opens them far enough to fit large hooks and swivels without the usual struggle.
Mick's Tip
I use these pliers myself in my shop when rigging lures for customers. They comfortably open the 7mm right through to 16mm split rings we use here on our BFT lures etc. If you're changing big singles or trebles on tuna, GT or other heavy tropical lures, they're a very handy pair of pliers to have in your tackle box.
