Flashmer American Lure Clips – Stainless Steel
The Flashmer American Lure Clip is a simple, strong and extremely versatile stainless steel lure clip that we have sold for years. It’s suitable for everything from tiny LRF lures and squid jigs through to full-size bass lures and heavier saltwater fishing.
The shape is one of the reasons I like these clips. The large rounded loop gives the lure plenty of freedom to move and articulate naturally, rather than restricting its action. The single-wire end also makes them particularly versatile, as it will pass through the smaller attachment eyes found on jig heads, metal lures, hard lures and squid jigs.
For bass fishing, Size 2 is by far our most popular size and has been one of our best-selling terminal tackle items for years. It's the size I would choose for the majority of normal bass lures, including larger surface lures such as the Xorus Patchinko 140.
Size 1 is a smaller, neater option and ideal for hard lures up to around 125mm, while still being plenty strong enough for bass fishing.
For lighter fishing, the smallest size is excellent for small hard lures, soft lure jig heads, squid jigs and LRF fishing, where you don't want an unnecessarily large clip affecting the presentation.
At the other end of the scale, I've personally used Size 3 when fishing in tropical waters and landed tuna species to around 15lb on them. They're a small piece of terminal tackle that I've had a lot of confidence in over the years.

Mick's Tip
For most of my normal bass lure fishing, Size 2 is the one I'd choose. It gives larger bass lures plenty of freedom to work properly without using an unnecessarily bulky connection. If I'm fishing smaller hard lures or want a neater connection, I drop down to Size 1.
