The Tenryu Namija is here in the UK at last! These rods are designed in Europe for European fishing styles and fish, but built to incredible standards in Japan. What makes the new Namija rods even more bespoke to us here in the UK, is the fact they have been made for fishing requirements here in the UK and in the Netherlands more than anywhere else! So we literally now have a range of high end longer rods that have been made with many of our open coast and estuaries marks in mind. Now to the info from the designer Sietze Hendriks:
The Namija 1080MH (10ft 8in) is the longest rod in the Namija range. This model was developed for shore-based bass fishing with soft baits up to 60 g in deep, fast-current areas where long-distance casts are needed to let the lure swim naturally over extended drifts. This fishing technique, similar to European-style float fishing, is often practiced in harbours and on breakwaters in the Netherlands. Its very fast action and incredible sensitivity also make it a versatile rod, ideal for hard baits and metal lures. Equipped with a reverse titanium tip guide, the Namija 1080MH is designed to maximize casting distance while offering maximum sensitivity and optimal line control. Despite its length and the significant power required to handle large fish in challenging conditions, this model remains exceptionally lightweight and comfortable to use.
Length: 10ft 8in (3.25m)
Casting: 20-60g
Rod Weight: 186g
