Tackle House Feed Shallow 105 – Shallow Running Bass Lure

The Tackle House Feed Shallow 105 is the smaller brother of the legendary Feed Shallow 128, offering that same wonderful rolling action in a slightly more compact 105mm body.

I've been a huge fan of the Feed Shallow range since first testing the original 128 in Ireland back in 2008. We immediately recognised just how effective that natural rolling movement was for catching bass, and it's a big part of why these lures have remained so popular over the years.

The Feed Shallow 105 brings that same action to a smaller lure, making it a brilliant choice when bass are feeding on smaller baitfish, or when you simply want to reduce the size of your presentation.

Despite weighing just 16g, the internal weight transfer system helps the lure cast an impressive distance for its size, making it an excellent option for shore fishing.

Running at a maximum depth of approximately 2ft (60cm), the Feed Shallow 105 is ideal for working over shallow, weed-covered reefs, rocky ground and sandy beaches, particularly when wading.

And just like its bigger brother, this is an incredibly easy lure to fish.

No complicated retrieves, no constant twitching and no aggressive jerking required!

Simply cast it out, retrieve at a steady pace and let that lovely rolling action do the work. Sometimes the simplest techniques are the most effective.

Mick's Tip

One of the things I've always loved about the Feed Shallow range is that you don't need to do anything clever to make them catch fish.

With the 105, I'd particularly consider using it when bass are feeding on smaller baitfish, or when I want something a little more subtle than the full-size 128.

Keep your retrieve nice and steady and let the lure swim naturally.

The 105 comes fitted with two Owner ST46 size 3 trebles, but if you prefer Decoy hooks, the Y-S21 in size 3 is an excellent alternative.
