DUO Tide Minnow 75 Sprint – 75mm (3") 11g Sinking Lure
A brilliant little sinking minnow for bass and other predatory fish feeding on small baitfish.
At home in both salt water & fresh water situations.
After around six years of not stocking them, I've decided to bring the DUO Tide Minnow 75 Sprint back into our range. We regularly get asked for smaller hard lures by customers fishing lighter tackle or targeting bass feeding on tiny baitfish, and this is one lure I remember very fondly.
What makes the 75 Sprint so good is its balance. Unlike many modern casting minnows, there is no moving weight transfer system. The weight is fixed inside the body, giving the lure excellent stability and a beautifully balanced, horizontal sinking action.
Despite weighing just 11g, it casts remarkably well for its size, making it a very useful little lure when you need something small but still want a reasonable casting distance.
The horizontal sinking action is another feature I particularly like. Rather than dropping nose-first or tail-first, the lure stays level as it sinks, giving a much more natural presentation when working around structure or allowing it to drop through the water.
Mick's Tip
I haven't fished one of these for quite a few years, but I used to absolutely love them around our harbour walls here in Jersey.
I'd flick them down the edges of the walls, working them close to the structure where small baitfish gather and predators come looking for an easy meal.
They're also a great option when bass are feeding on really small baitfish and simply aren't interested in the larger lures we normally throw at them.
Sometimes downsizing your lure makes all the difference!
