The Akuru range of Tenryu rods have been introduced to keep up with the modern trend of anglers and thier requirements. The SP 86 MH can be used in a mulitude of ways for the different scenarios we face when fishing. Designed for the long casting of soft lures like the Megabass Dark Sleeper, the fast, yet progressive action allows you to feel every bite and bump on the retrieve. The powerful action is very forgiving, which so important for those big and awkward to land fish. Of course the rod is also ideal for surface, diving, metals and other softies, but she really comes to life when using straight/twitching softies like the Dark Sleeper and other soft shads etc. The fast tip and progressive loading of the blank allows for that all important bite detection and shock absorbing bend. It is stated that Dark Sleepers from 14g upwards are magical on her, but in my own opinion she comes to life with the 21g Sleeper.
