The Shimano Talica Spiral Twin Butt Trolling Rod 50–80lb class is a premium big game stand-up rod engineered for serious offshore anglers targeting giant tuna, marlin and other hard-fighting pelagic species. Built around Shimano’s advanced full carbon blank technology, this rod delivers immense lifting power while remaining surprisingly lightweight and responsive under heavy load.
Designed with a spiral guide configuration, the Talica maximises blank performance by reducing torque and improving stability during prolonged fights. The Fuji HB SiC spiral-mounted guides allow smoother power transfer and greater control when putting maximum pressure on powerful fish. Shimano’s High Pressure Carbon (HPC), Nanosheet, Biofibre and Diaflash technologies combine to create a rod with exceptional strength, durability and fast recovery.
The 50–80lb model is ideally suited for heavy trolling, live baiting and stand-up game fishing applications where reliability and stopping power are critical. Supplied with both a lightweight carbon bent butt and an aluminium straight butt, the Talica offers complete versatility for different fishing styles and fighting positions. A Pac Bay aluminium reel seat ensures secure reel mounting, while the high-density EVA foregrip provides excellent comfort and grip even in wet offshore conditions.

If products are faulty or do not conform to the description, you may return them within 28 days of receipt and you will be entitled to a replacement or full refund.
Mr Fish reserves the right to retain the costs of delivery where goods are returned for no cause.
We test every product returned. If it is found not to be faulty it will be returned to you with a postage and insurance charge not exceeding £3.95.
We advise you to check any products you suspect might be faulty before returning them.
We reserve the right to charge a repackaging fee on goods that are returned without their original packaging, this fee will not exceed £3.95.
You may return any unopened products within 7 days of receipt for a full refund. We will refund your payment card once we have received and processed the package.
