🎣 Mick's Tip
The Shimano Vanford 4000A is my go-to reel for 99% of my bass fishing. I use it on almost all of my 7ft to 8ft lure rods, and for me it's the perfect balance of size, weight and performance.
What really stands out is just how light and smooth it feels. You can fish all day without feeling weighed down, and when you're constantly casting lures, that makes a huge difference.
The line lay is exceptional, which means braid comes off the spool cleanly and consistently. I've found I very rarely experience wind knots or line management issues, even when fishing in windy conditions. It's one of those reels that simply does its job without you having to think about it.
If you're looking for one reel that will cover almost every bass fishing situation, the Vanford 4000A would be my first choice.

Similar to the Shimano sustain, it has excellent line lay. The line leaves the spool with ease when casting. Paired this with the tenryu injection & sits perfectly & is well balanced. Excellent service & recommendation from MIck as always many thanks👍

If products are faulty or do not conform to the description, you may return them within 28 days of receipt and you will be entitled to a replacement or full refund.
Mr Fish reserves the right to retain the costs of delivery where goods are returned for no cause.
We test every product returned. If it is found not to be faulty it will be returned to you with a postage and insurance charge not exceeding £3.95.
We advise you to check any products you suspect might be faulty before returning them.

You may return any unopened products within 7 days of receipt for a full refund. We will refund your payment card once we have received and processed the package.
