The XT version of the Super Spook is designed for tougher conditions and bigger than normal fish. The hooks are bigger than on the standard Spook and there are only two hooks (rather than the normal three) and the anchor points for the split rings and nose are made with much thicker/stronger wire. The origins of this lure (the Zara Spook) were first made in 1939, with models such as the Super Spook coming out in the 1940's and 50's. They nailed it right back then, the Spook still catch fish due to the perfect balance and pitch of the rattle. Here in Jersey we walk them very slowly to mimic a wounded fish flopping from one side to another.
