Description
French designers "Big Fish 1983" have produced a lovely range of European Bass fishing rods, all fitted throughout with Fuji components and lovely crisp actions from medium-fast to fast.
The Seabass Heavy is designed for using with the heaviest of bass lures that you would normally use for shore fishing in UK waters. For the technique we call "Diagonal Traction" this rod is perfect. This technique is slowly becoming more popular here in the Uk now that many boat anglers have realise the potential to bring big bass & pollack to the boat when other tecniques are now working. This model will launch a 70g head plus body no problem, and the action will allow you to feel every bump of the bottom. Of course the 8ft length is ideal for when you feel that bottom you can raise the rod quickly and take a couple of turn of line.
Sometimes the fish can be at distance or you may need to bully them out of snaggy ground or white water. The Seabass Heavy is powerful, it will launch standard lures fine but you also have the capability to chuck a big popper, shad or metal.
The action is stated as "Fast", the rod corrects extremely well and is very light in the hand for its size & length. Sensitivity will be spot on when feeling for takes or working jerk minnows and topwaters.
Fitted with a Fuji reel seat and finished with grey/khaki grips, the guides are all Fuji Alconite.
