More Information

For those of you that are traveling to catch some big tropical fish like GT's, Dorado, Tuna, Cabera snapper and Rooster fish, the Aquila Popping range is perfect for your needs. Hand built in Italy and designed exactly for the job in hand, this range of rods are built under licence using carbon from the Ferrari F-1 team, the highest quality carbon fiber that is available to rod builders in Europe. The blanks are built for popping with BIG popper, and designed to make your life as easy as possible when working your lures. The power in the lower part of the rod is designed to help you stop or turn your fish, but the tip is slightly more forgiving which allows for better casting and working of the lure. Being hand built please be aware that even though these rods are beautifully finished, the whipping and varnish may not be 100% flawless like a factory finished rod, but like I say it all adds to the character of these amazing rods.

I have been tropical fishing in a few places around the world now, and these rods will be great for all surface fishing when targeting GT's up to 100lb+ and monster Bluefin Tuna for any size you can handle.

We buy these rods as blanks, then Artico ask how we want them built, we have chosen an ALPS reels seat which is among the best in the world, and for the guides we chose Fuji K-Series anti-tangle Alconite.
