Quick Overview

Price of book: £9.99
Price of postage: £2.00

Although not as pretty as Jersey, Guernsey offers the visiting angler some exceptional fishing. *

This book by Len Le Page, who I have had the honour of fishing with a couple of times, is simply an outstanding achievement by him. The knowledge this man has on the fishing in Guernsey over the last 40 years + is amazing.

If you are thinking of fishing in Guernsey, or just want to see what the Channel Islands can offer, then this is the book you need.

This book covers fishing in Guernsey, Sark, Herm and Alderney.

More Information

Until the first edition of this book was published in 1999 there had never been a publication that set out to provide a complete overview of angling in the Guernsey bailiwick. The book filled that void for it contained a wide range of subjects, illustrated by over 140 photos in both colour & black & white.Information on the species of fish in local waters, bait, where to fish, fishing clubs,competitions,rod-caught records and freshwater angling were all included. The history and development of the sport in bailiwick waters that had never previously been recorded was covered in some detail, and was hopefully of interest to islanders even if they had never wet a line.

In addition the wealth of information on the current angling scene was a big asset to all who looked to enjoy the wonderful sport of angling in the prolific and exciting waters of the bailiwick.
The second edition contained additional and updated information on the past and continued the story of bailiwick angling through the years from 1999 to 2007, all supported by the inclusion of many new photos.

This third edition continues the update of the angling story from 2008 to mid 2011 and contains outstanding fish caught during those years

This book is a must for any visiting anglers or for a angling book lover
