This small reel is perfectly balanced when used with ultra light rods for LRF and light trout set ups.

The 2500FA has two deep spools, these spools actually hold more than the 3000 size version, which makes the 2500 a great reel for HRF fishing, that is when you need thicker, more abrasion resistant braids. The body size and rotar on both the 2500 & 3000 are exactly the same.
