The Rising Minnow 87 may look like many other small pin lures, but when you look at it properly you soon realise things are not normal.
The diving lip is upside down, so is in fact a rising lip. The lure is a sinker, and by retrieving or twitching the lure it actually rises back up to the surface (like most panicked bait fish do). The Rising Minnow will dart from side to side with small flicks of the wrist, but if you allow the lure to fall on its own you will see it falls in a circle. This action can be held back and the lure will actually swim away from you!
