The All Rod Red Option is another one of the Tenryu range that can be used for duel purposes. Designed as a brute of a vertical jigger, and also for tropical popping for big species.
Being 7ft 2in and having a casting power of 110g the Red Option will throw out the big surface poppers for GT etc no problem at all.
The vertical power of the rod is outstanding, and if you are likely to be targeting seriously big fish then the Red Option is the one for you. Jigging up to 300g vertically this rod still has some life in it, and the feel of the lure is still with the angler.
This is another of the rods that we took to Norway last year, it preformed beautifully on the Cod, Coal Fish and Halibut.
